This week’s Classic Rewind is the 1990 Marlboro Grand Prix, which took place on a temporary street circuit at the Meadowlands Sports Complex near New York. Relive all the action from Michael Andretti's third win of the season.
An Indy car race in New York City? From 1984-1991, Indy cars raced at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J. This week’s Classic Rewind is the 1990 Marlboro Grand Prix.
The race, the eighth race of the 1990 schedule, was held on July 15th around a semi-oval temporary circuit near the Brendan Byrne Arena (now called IZOD Center). Michael Andretti started from the pole and won the race, his third victory in four summer starts.
