The Thermal Club

It didn’t take long this morning for NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers to let it rip at The Thermal Club on just their second day on the 17-turn, 3.067-mile circuit.

Colton Herta led all drivers Thursday on the first day of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES open test at the private, world-class facility located just outside Palm Springs, California, with a lap of 1 minute, 39.3721 seconds in the No. 26 Andretti Autosport with Curb-Agajanian Honda. But five drivers already dipped into the 1:38 range within the first 55 minutes of the morning session today.

Drivers will be on track from noon-2:30 p.m. ET and 4-7:30 p.m. ET today on the final day of the test.
