A special day

Graham Rahal spent some time with Chase Walters, a young racing fan who has cancer. “Best part of today was getting to take Chase karting for his first time, and put cancer in the background as we shared laughs and laps together,” the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver posted on Twitter.

Unanimous Fan Favorite?

Marco Andretti chose not to vote for himself in the 2018 INDYCAR Fan Favorite Driver poll. Instead, he’s pulling for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year, Robert Wickens. And he’s not the only one. If you haven’t already, you can vote here, once on each device.

Oh no, Helio

In response to a video that showed him climbing a fence (of course) and celebrating a 2008 INDYCAR win at Sonoma Raceway with fans, Helio Castroneves recalled one subtle detail about the day. Awkward.

You’ve got a friend … actually, many

AJ Foyt Racing driver Tony Kanaan has his 2007 7-Eleven firesuit is up for auction, with proceeds going to his long-time assistant and friend of the paddock, Kika Garcia-Conchesa. She is fighting Stage 3 cancer.

Never seen this before

Alexander Rossi, sliding through a corner? Doesn’t ring a bell.

Spotted
