Fear not, friends, we finally fixed the Wayback Machine and have moved past 2012.

This week's Classic Rewind takes us back nearly 40 years to May of 1977 and the Indianapolis 500.

Fans will remember that "500" as the one where A.J. Foyt became the first four-time winner of the race taking the lead when Gordon Johncock's car broke down while leading on a hot May day. It will also be remembered as the year that Janet Guthrie broke the gender barrier and became the first female starter of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
