The 1984 Michigan 500 is your pick from last week’s poll for this week's classic rewind.

The race was contested on July 22 and was one of two races at the famed 2-mile oval in 1984. Mario Andretti claimed both races that season as part of his championship-winning season. It was the first Indy car championship for Newman/Haas Racing and Andretti's first 500 mile win since he won the Indianapolis 500 in 1969.

If your favorite race didn’t win, don’t worry, the nominees from the last two weeks are up for viewing next week.
